Wedding: Anna & Devin
Anna & Devin got married this past October on a beautiful day in Richmond, Vermont. Richmond is just outside of Burlington and is known for it’s beautiful countryside, historic landmarks, and vibrant community. The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at Richmond’s West Monitor Barn. Besides being one the most breathtaking barns in Vermont, the West Monitor Barn is the headquarters for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps; a non-profit organization focusing on environmental projects and education throughout the state of Vermont. What a great place to support with your wedding dollars, and the setting is just perfect. Anna and Devin’s day could not have been nicer, especially for an October wedding. And for me as a photographer, the grounds offer such great photo sites that I had a hard time choosing where shoot!
When I arrived the bride was busy helping others to get ready!
ok.. here we go
The most adorable flower girl of all my weddings last summer. She found her way into my frame quite a bit on this day!
Anna and Devin really put some thoughtfulness into their details, lots of sweet, Vermont-ish things, so great.
The main room at the barn is simply stunning.
The wedding ceremony started with this little gal coming across the lawn and down the aisle.
These two seemed to be having a blast from the first few lines of the ceremony.
The ceremony ended with all guests providing tiny bubbles to send off the newly married couple.
Love this shot from the back lawn looking down at the receiving line.
Then it was time to take a few group shots, sometimes called “formals”, but this crew made them more spontaneous.
I love the cowboy boots in this shot!
Time to go inside and party!
This is one of my favorite moments at any wedding I’m shooting. It’s during the first dance, or somewhere else just after
the ceremony when all the pressure is off. The bride and groom share a laugh and soak in the elation of
having nothing left to do but enjoy their evening.
The bride above, the mother of the bride below; both in love with their husbands……
…the bubbles were a hit well into the night.
We managed to sneak outside before dinner and snap a few pictures in the evening light. Vermont foliage and an iconic barn as the backdrop!
ok. I know, enough with the bubbles…but they were just too much fun!
